#22 Wildflowers in north America

From late spring to early fall, the north American wilderness abounds with wildflowers - whether it is on the meadow plateaus amid the mountains or the banks of the creeks/rivers or even the forest floor. Some grab your attention by the sheer profusion of colors while some are discreet and only visible to the discerning eye. As invasive plants slowly spread their ghastly tentacles across the landscape, some of these habitats are threatened but for now, it is something for us to savor.
